Abstract
The background of the problem of offering sacrifices was changed in the form of money as a sacrifice of gratitude to God so that there was an error in giving offerings. Theological Study of Offerings in the Bible. The purpose of this paper is to describe the theological Theological Study of Offerings in the Bible. By analyzing the text in accordance with the principles of exegesis, to get the meaning contained in the context of theological study of offerings in the Bible. The results of the analysis of a true offering are first, so that you offer your body as a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1), second, a true sacrifice (Mark 12:42), third, your whole life to God (Luke 2:37). The purpose of the description of the theological study of the offerings in the Bible consists of: first, the Old Testament. God commanded His people, Israel, to bring sacrifices in worship. That is why in the book of Leviticus, we recognize burnt offerings, grain offerings, sin offerings, salvation offerings and so on. The Israelites did not face God with their bare hands but brought their respective offerings from home so that the customs and culture were carried out by Christians until now. Second, the New Testament. by the mercy of God I exhort you, that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to: this is your true worship. God wants a living offering, which is a body offering, so that God will use it to serve God and serve fellow human beings. Third, Bible Analysis. Modern Bible science shows how much the New Testament depends on the Old Testament. The New Testament tells of a new and unexpected work of God taking place in Jesus of Nazareth, but one of the main aspects of the message is that Jesus fulfilled the expectations of the Old Testament. After all, in preaching and teaching, apologetics and ethics, the Old Testament scriptures were the source and benchmark for the New Testament church.
